AW18
Our Checklist for this Winter
Brrr! It’s beginning to feel slightly more wintery on the streets of London, even if we are blessed with the gorgeous sunshine making our early morning coffee run on Baker Street all the more bearable. Listen, you know our next sale is on the 11th & 12th of October but do you want to know a little secret? It’s a sale dedicated to ACCESSORIES. You’ll still find all the AW18 pieces you need to complete your wardrobe however, we’re adding in a huge selection of high end shoes and boots from the likes of Saint Laurent, Sergio Rossi, Gucci, Valentino, Chloe and Gianvito Rossi plus many more. You’ll also find a bigger range of scarves, belts, handbags and sunglasses.
Winter fashion is the topic on everyone’s chapsticked lips at the moment, with one of the most important winter themes on the runway this year being protection, from the cold and from the world around you, swaddling yourself in layers has never been more popular, and for us that surely means having a luxurious scarf to pair with every outfit. This season’s must have look when it comes to scarves is undoubtedly Givenchy and Versace’s collection of bold prints, which marry a soft texture and striking designs for a look that will allow you to showcase all your personality and keep your neck warm in luxury.
Gushlow & Cole
Of course, draping yourself in high end fashion doesn’t always mean adding layers, another one of these seasons must follow trends is that of blanket coats, thin yet insulating, stylish and flowing. And for us, the epitome of that look is the Gushlow & Cole shearling range of ‘teddy’ style trench coats. Whether that’s their classic British Curly Merino trench coat, with its timeless deconstructed look and long lengths, or a lightweight Toscana made with their signature plush shearling materials and a double collar to keep out the cold.
If you’re looking to master the art of combining high end fashion and the everyday, we’d highly recommend looking to the Madeline Thompson cashmere range. As a luxury knitwear brand synonymous with the famed material, renowned for its softness and feel, you can count on them for comfort. Add Les 100 Ceils to your list of must-have cashmere also – you can pick up a beautifully made cashmere cardigan for under £60 at one of our sales, what’s not to love?
Another key trend for this winter has been the rise of luxury sportswear, a trend very much in keeping with those themes of combining the high end and the everyday, it’s seen something that was once all about function, become a matter of fashion and form too. Leading the way for this has been Phillip Plein, by bringing his unique and inspired creations to the market, with the first true luxury sportswear brand that imbues gym and sportswear with his signature style. Alternatively, for a more classic and understated look there is the Fila urban menswear collection.
Saint Laurent
Of course, any winter essentials list couldn’t possibly be complete without a pair of boots. And this season’s hottest footwear is once again coming from Saint Laurent. Clad in butter-soft calf leather and feminine toe shapes, our Saint Laurent boot edit is worthy of crawling over broken glass to get to the front of the queue. You do not want to miss out on this…
If you’re in town just for bags and purses then you’ll be pleased to know we have both Italian powerhouse Prada and iconic British designer Vivienne Westwood in the house. Prada is sporting clean and simple lines and deliciously sumptuous coloured leathers while Vivienne Westwood opts for a more playful approach, crafting their iconic heart-shaped purses with a fashionable high shine patent leather. And for that something extra, we have a stylish collection of Gucci belts on offer, all adorned with gilded buckles that showcase artistic and iconic designs.
Is that enough to whet your appetite?
Don’t forget, October 11th & 12th at 35 Baker Street and remember we have VIP early access tickets available for Thursday 11th as usual, priced at only £12.
