Christmas Party
The Best Venues in London
Our Recommendations
December is a mere few days away which can mean only one thing: swathes of sequin and suit clad party-goers will be hitting the streets of London in search of the best 3 course meal, Champagne and DJ money can buy. Finding the ideal Christmas party venue in London is no easy task, so we’ve compiled a list of our 3 favourite venues, from high end luxury to cosy and quirky, which leaves you with just the small issue of WHAT TO WEAR (fret not, we’re going to help you with that too…)
If you’ve been tasked with the responsibility of entertaining clients, booking a staff party or group get-together then read on:
Home House: Marylebone
Our favourite members only club is a mere stones’ throw from our pop up venue at 35 Baker Street. The award-winning private members club based in a beautiful historic Georgian townhouse sits proudly at Number 20, Portman Square in Marylebone. The luxury venue is hosting a cabaret night on the 1st December which is set to dazzle and delight even the most high maintenance of guests. Their website states that you will “be greeted on arrival with a festive tipple, before dining on a sumptuous feast. Ebenezer Scrooge would be positively outraged by the extravagance that will follow. Be entertained by buxom burlesque, contortion by candlelight and a hostess with the most-est, who will certainly have a twinkle in her eye – expect plenty of seasonal sparkle”. Their Christmas Day menu boasts: heirloom beetroot, goats cheese curd, mint cress and hazelnut to start, Roast Norfolk Bronze Turkey, traditional accompaniments and milk chocolate parfait, chestnut chantilly, mocha jelly for pudding, among other equally mouth-wateringly delicious options to suit all palettes and dietary preferences. If you aren’t already a member of Home House we suggest you become best friends with a membership card holder immediately. For such luxury surroundings we suggest you adorn yourself with Chanel, Givenchy and Dior only.
.
Coppa Club: Tower Bridge
If you are not yet familiar with the internet-breaking Winter Igloos at the popular Tower Bridge Coppa Club location then we are guessing you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months. Coppa Club describes that their terrace “has been transformed into the cosiest set up the Thames has to offer. With fluffy blankets & sheepskin rugs, sparkly night’s sky and unrivalled views of London’s Thameside skyline. It’s this winter’s dreamiest spot, ideal for hiding away from the cold and the city outside”. Choose from a crowd-pleasing selection of dishes such as truffled celeriac soup, slow cooked pork belly and spiced rhubarb and a trio of tempting puddings for you and your guests to share as well as an array of Sipsmith Gin cocktails which will satisfy even the most well-seasoned gin connoisseur. We suggest an outfit comprising of black cashmere for luxury and warmth, dressed up with your best party shoes (note: our designer shoe clearance continues December 6th & 7th, Prada, Miu Miu, Gucci, Saint Laurent and many more).
Cahoots: Soho
If getting positively squiffy in a swingin’ 40s underground bar this December piques your interest then partying at Cahoots in Soho is the nocturnal escapade for you. “Party like it’s 1946 at the underground station of Cahoots, where spirits are high and drinks never run dry! Hire the full venue or the underground train carriage for an absolutely smashing Christmas party, giving you and your pals the chance to exclusively experience the Blitz spirit of the 1940s”. Enjoy their Hendrick Gin and Moet & Chandon filled Christmas hamper picnic filled with sarnies, treats and ‘rations’ for a lighter Christmas lunch served every Saturday or skip food altogether and dive straight into their award winning cocktail menu. With entertainment from vintage blues singers, jazzy pianists and distinctly dapper DJ’s, you’ll be the talk of the town for booking such a venue for your guests. Can’t decide what to wear? Adopt the 40s aesthetic with your favourite wide-legged tailored trousers, heels and designer blouse or keep it casual with a pair of Ash trainers paired with your favourite full-sleeved floral dress.
